Excel Innovations was founded in Ahmedabad with a clear purpose — to build practical, integrated business software for Indian enterprises. In the MS-DOS era, we developed character-based business applications using CA-Clipper and FoxPro. These early systems helped us understand real business workflows from the ground up — accounting, inventory, production, sales, and operations. This became the foundation of everything we built later.
With the rise of Windows-based computing, we launched our first integrated ERP system — Win Ei. Built on Windows GUI, Visual Basic, VB.NET, and client-server architecture, Win Ei brought multiple business functions into one connected application. As Indian industries began adopting ERP systems, our solutions expanded across chemicals, edible oils, engineering, textiles, pharma, FMCG, transport, and several other sectors. Each implementation made our product stronger, deeper, and more industry-aware.
The GenNeXT ERP family marked the next phase of our growth. What began as an ERP platform evolved into a complete product ecosystem with 10+ specialised solutions, including GenNeXT ERP, GenNeXT Chemicals, GenNeXT EDOIL, and GenNeXT Bakery. Around the same time, we introduced Magic POS — a fast, intuitive Point of Sale solution built for Indian retail. With touch UI, barcode support, local language capability, and simplified billing, Magic POS made everyday retail operations faster and easier.
The GenNeXT ERP platform evolved with the changing needs of modern businesses. We introduced mobile apps, web portals, dashboards, BI tools, Web APIs, bank integrations, SMS, WhatsApp and email notifications, Excel/PDF exports, and hybrid cloud models. As customer needs grew beyond retail, GenNeXT POS / GenNeXT SM was launched — combining POS, inventory, purchase, sales, and accounting into one integrated solution.
